John is undoubtedly, truly a unique and original artist in his genre. He aims to bridge cultural differences between the West and Europe by encompassing his music with sounds and instruments from all over the world. John not only composes his own music, but performs his own vocals and his instrumental arrangements. Although, professionally trained, John attributes his skills and accomplishments, not only to his ability to teach himself, but also to his father George Kapoulas’ persistent coaching. John Kapoulas is truly an asset to the music and entertainment industries performing a multitude of instruments from all over the world including: Bouzouki, Oud, Laouta, Saz, Tsouboush, Baglama, Violin, Tsoura, Guitar, Percussion and Keyboards.

In 2003, John launched Greek club nights in Toronto geared to the young adults of Toronto’s Greek community. John, along with his band ENA K’ENA (1K1), performs a repertoire of songs consisting of a combination of Greece’s top hits off the Billboard charts and John Kapoulas’ original musical sounds. John’s success can be measured by the thousands of patrons that have supported him for 4 consecutive years and still going strong.
John has also performed by popular demand on Toronto’s multicultural CHIN Radio 100.7FM on numerous occasions performing live to air. He also performed with ENA K’ENA (1K1) at the Taste of the Danforth 2005, where he received a remarkable response to his original music from viewers and listeners. Most recently, John Kapoulas was featured on OMNI 1 Television focusing on his career path, his past and present successes and his future ventures.
John Kapoulas will be releasing and promoting his debut CD this summer 2006 under his own record label ROZY RECORDS.
